Honey of a Mom…

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

So as I mentioned yesterday I was born a year ago.

My Dam is named Honey

and my Sire is KC.

My human family met them before I was even born when they came to meet Nina of Shalimar Tibetan Terriers. They loved my parents and decided that they wanted one of their puppies. Weeks passed and soon there were 6 of us to choose from.

It was a very hard decision and the family came back when we were 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks old. We were adorable and I can’t say I envied their choice. I really liked their little boys so on the last visit I decided to separate myself from the field of prospects and be just as cute and cuddly as I could be. The Dad picked me up and I acted like a noodle in his arms. Then the older boy held me and I stayed snuggled into his lap the entire time. The Mom was looking over the bunch but noticed how cuddly I was being.
There was talk about me and my sister who was close in size to me but just a little darker.

Then they talked about showing and possibly puppies down the line. The Mom picked me up and I was so happy to be held. When she put me back in the bed with my siblings I decided to stretch out. BAM! I guess that did it for her. She said she loved the way I layed with my back legs stretched out behind me. It reminded her of her old friend Scruffy and it was a done deal. About an hour later Mom, Dad, Grandma, the two boys and me were in the car on our way home to Dighton, MA. It was such a LONG ride. But I slept most of it in Mom’s lap.

The next day I explored my new home, my bed and crate and toys and food dishes and the big back yard. This place was going to be home. I was missing my brothers and sisters and my doggie Mom badly… and I even cried myself to sleep for about 2 nights. But soon I realized I loved my new family and my home!
